International Paper (India) Private Limited produces writing, printing and copier papers at its two manufacturing units in Andhra Pradesh, which have a total paper production capacity of 240,000 metric tons per year.
Summary
International Paper Retail Display and Packaging is a full service designer and manufacturer of point-of-purchase materials for major consumer product companies and retailers. We are seeking a student intern to work with our design team in the development of our products. Key functions include assisting with research, concept development, prototyping, and display and packaging development.
Responsibilities
* Learns the basic fundamentals of creating a dynamic, structurally sound point-of-purchase display design. * Learns standard techniques for corrugated or alternative materials merchandising solutions. * Concept Development: Work with sales, design, project management, design management, and/or the client to understand creative requirements and work with others to translate those requirements into a creative merchandising solution. * Project Development: Record keeping, file naming, creating bill of materials, writing instruction sheets that illustrate the assembly of displays, and determine pallet patterns. * Learn and begin to understand various manufacturing methods/applications and how they are considered when developing packaging and display solutions. * Operate the CAD system, table, and large format printer to create display structures and produce prototypes of displays. * Assist in producing reports, time studies, and retail surveys. * Apply environmental and sustainability principles to the design of our products. * Assist in the development of sales presentations. * Maintain the highest level of safety while working in the design environment.
Ideal Candidate
* Student working toward a BS/BA in Packaging, Design or related field. * Ability to do detail oriented work with exceptional accuracy. * Self motivated and ability to work with minimal supervision. * Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills. * Ability and willingness to learn quickly. * Excellent computer and organizational skills. * Ability to work within strict timelines. * Customer focused. * Creative problem solving skills.
