Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will help Interactive Intelligence, one of Fortune magazine’s 100 fastest growing small public companies; The Software Engineer will help enhance existing software programs or design and implement new features based on requirements. Must be able to multi-task, work in a self-directed and self-motivated environment and have the determination to meet critical deadlines on both an individual and team basis. He or she should have experience with software engineering principles, Agile development methodology, and quality-centric practices such as unit testing and code reviews. (GR 42)

Ideal Candidate

- Three years’ industry experience writing C# software modules and applications.
- B.S. in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience developing User Interface components using C# is desired.
- Gather requirements from customers and other groups in the organization.
- Generate design documents for use by support, documentation and other groups in development.
- Communicate system features Support, customers, and other groups in development.
- Experience with operation of SQL Server and Oracle database systems.
- Proficiency in database design and implementation concepts.
- Experience developing multithreaded systems with detailed knowledge of techniques required for collaborating components.
- Experience with unit testing and/or automation testing of software components.
- Superior design and programming skills for high performance multi-process environments.
- Experience with Crystal Reports is desired but not required.
- Knowledge of database design and implementation for SQL Server or Oracle.
- Ability to write object oriented programs using C#.
- Experience with Telecommunication reporting requirements for Call Centers and Enterprises.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
