In its broker dealer agency business, IB provides direct access ("on line") trade execution and clearing services to institutional and professional traders for a wide variety of electronically traded products including stocks, options, futures, forex, bonds, CFDs and funds worldwide. Interactive Brokers Group and its affiliates execute nearly 1,000,000 trades per day.
As a member of our Technical Operations Department you will have the opportunity to support one of the fastest growing and technically advanced brokerage systems in the industry. You will become part of the group that maintains Interactive Brokers' 24x7 brokerage system across the Americas, Europe, and Asia, working together with developers, system administrators, and traders to ensure we remain one of the fastest and most reliable brokers.
- Monitor all aspects of the Interactive Brokers global brokerage system.
- Communicate with exchanges to configure, test, and implement new trading technologies
- Work with our developers to design new and improve existing brokerage processes
- Design and develop new monitoring and automation processes
- Act as primary escalation point for any and all technical issues
- Highly motivated
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- At least one year experience working with UNIX and UNIX like operating systems
- Must be able to safely lift and carry objects weighing up to approximately 50 pounds
- Completion of two or four year degree in science, engineering, or related field
- Financial services industry experience a plus
