Summary
IMS is currently seeking a Creative Director in the Branded Merchandise division to work with some of the most iconic brands in the world. This position will lead a creative team that drives strategy and creative execution, in collaboration with the Marketing Communications Director, for a leading financial services company and a top global quick service restaurant (QSR). The Creative Director will identify emerging and fashion trends and oversee the overall design, development and execution of catalogs, websites, and custom designed merchandise for our industry-leading clients. We are seeking a seasoned professional who has exceptional visual communication skills, quickly grasps business needs, and collaborates with senior-level clients and cross-disciplined teams to provide integrated creative solutions. This position reports to the CMO and would be located in either our Kenosha, WI or Chicago, IL office.
Responsibilities
- Provide branded merchandise creative vision, leadership and direction for a leading financial services company and a top global QSR - Effectively sell this vision to senior-level clients and prospective clients - Collaborate with clients to understand key marketing objectives, customer segments and business needs and create “WOW” creative that emotionally connects with internal and external customers - Apply emerging creative and fashion trends in unique and relevant ways to meet clients’ needs - Lead, inspire and mentor a team of creative stars - Lead and manage quarterly collaboration and innovation summits - Frequent (15-20%) travel to collaborate and present to senior-level clients
Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts or equivalent education and experience - 10+ years of experience in creative design across a variety of applications and channels, preferably with an Agency - Strong creative portfolio that showcases passion and creative execution of brand development across channels, including digital and emerging channels for B2B clients - Ability to strategically drive and execute fresh and relevant ideas across all creative elements, in collaboration with marketing, of the client’s business objectives. - Bring leading edge concepts to reality across a variety of marketing channels, including digital, catalogs and e-communications, as well as merchandise categories, including fashion - Innovative thinker that is collaborative and self-motivated with high level of accountability - Proven ability to build deep client relationships and win new clients with credible creative ideas/execution and brilliant new ideas - Demonstrated leadership skills to inspire teams through collaboration, mentoring with coordinated thinking and execution - Proven ability to work within tight deadlines while handling the pressure with composure and class - Strong understanding of consumer mindset, consumer empathy and dedication to a great customer experience - Superior interpersonal and communication skills - Highly proficient with InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator - Fashion retail catalog, web design and copywriting experience a plus
