About InRhythm

InRhythm is a high-growth, New York based, technology consulting firm focused on high velocity software development through lean UX, software engineering and agile delivery services.

Responsibilities

At InRhythm, we're in the business of doing transformative work. And as a Senior Front-end Engineer, that's exactly what you'll be doing. Our teams are built around high-velocity and high-availability software development, Agile practice, cutting edge technologies, and game-changing results. Come be a part of something big.

What you'll be doing?

  • You'll contribute clean, standards-compliant code to awesome web and mobile applications, with a variety of clients across industries. Each team-based project is about 6-9 months' duration. But we're not just about the work. We're about building your skills, training you on new technologies (or just those you haven't had time to master yet), attending meetups, sending you to conferences, whatever it takes to make sure that you stay on top of your game. Because as long as you're the best in the business, so are we.
  • So, you could spend a few months using front-end javascript frameworks and Cordova to build a new mobile-first responsive ecommerce portal for a major travel brand. Then switch gears and spend a few months with a Fortune 100 company as part of an innovation lab we've assembled, working in a MEAN stack to completely transform its approach to software development. And in between client projects you can participate in our software incubator startup, InRhythm Labs, allowing you to deepen your skills and contribute to our own ground-breaking proprietary software.
Ideal Candidate
  • At least 3-5 years of solid front-end software development experience and Experience
  • Proficiency and professional experience with OO Javascript, HTML5, CSS3, and at least a handful of JS frameworks (Angular, Node, Ember, React, etc. you can substitute other cool stuff for items on this list)
  • Experience working in an Agile environment
  • Knowledge of tools like Git, Github, JIRA, Cucumber, Jasmine, and others that make coding more efficient and easier to share
  • Good written and oral communication skills--you will be interacting with both technical and non-technical business stakeholders
  • Responsive Design and Photoshop knowledge is a plus--both progressive enhancement and graceful degradation
  • You should be able (and want) to argue the reason for using your IDE of choice, be it Sublime, Notepad, Webstorm, or MVS
