Software Deployment Coordinator

In spite of decades of effort to create processes and best practices, there is little visibility into why one project is a great success while a similar project fails. It remains extremely difficult to create a successful, efficient and cost-effective software organization and sustain it over multiple projects.

We are currently hiring a Software Deployment Coordinator to join our team. The candidate will be part of the InnerWorkings Customer Facing Technology team with a primary focus on our existing World-Wide enterprise B2B eCommerce platform. In this role, you will work closely with QA to identify and migrate code packages and configuration changes to several testing environments.

* Documenting deployment instructions that will be used by Systems and Database Administrators when releasing code to production. * Owning external customer testing configurations. * Work with closely with QA to identify and deploy stable code packages to promote to higher environment. * Document deployment instructions * Configure testing environments for external customer integrations * Review deployment processes for improvements

* Minimum of 5 years of professional experience with minimum of 2 years’ experience in a QA position. * Understanding of Agile practices and methodologies * Good understanding of relational databases and SQL * Understanding of cXML is ideal * Previous experience integrating eCommerce system with SAP OCI, Ariba or Coupa a plus * Ability to document complex instructions * Experience with TFS or other source code management tool * Understanding of and ability to manage edits to config files * Strong verbal and written communication * Experience with Jira and Confluence a plus * Able to work independently with minimal direction * Ability to work some evenings and weekends as dictated by code release schedules
