Summary
Learns to provide distinctive customer service and presents a professional corporate image. Provides service to our Agents and insureds/owners in a call center environment for the Life Division.
Responsibilities
* Learns to receive incoming calls, and provides assistance on new business, policy service, marketing, underwriting and claims. * Works with Team Leader and staff to become familiar with how to properly document customer * service interactions. * Learns to do minimal task processing including, but not limited to, tasks initiated from phone calls, such as removing * policies from EFT, sending forms, address changes, and phone number changes. * Learns to complete other department tasks in between phone calls such as policy delivery requirements. * Must acquire knowledge of all products, systems, and procedures used in the Life Contact Center. * Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Ideal Candidate
**Minimum Requirements:** * Education: Requires a High School diploma or GED equivalent. * Experience: Prior customer service and/or call center representative experience required. **Knowledge / Skills:** * Requires the ability to be professional in verbal and written communications. * Requires the ability * to speak clearly and distinctly over the telephone as well as listen intently. * Requires the ability to take complete notes, use appropriate systems for research, and transfer calls to appropriate areas. * Must have the visual and hearing capabilities to utilize computer and telephone systems for essential job functions. Requires adequate keyboarding skills to complete essential job functions. * Requires the ability to learn and retain various processes and procedures relating to the Life Division. * Must possess/develop ability to multi-task as well as develop organizational skills as well as prioritize * work when performing the various tasks of the department and the job. * Requires the ability to maintain confidential material. Incumbent will have access to confidential file information, which can include client’s personal, medical, financial, moral, and protected health information.
