Summary
The incumbent performs critical functions to support the President/CEO’s activities in all areas relating to the company. 1) The position assists the President/CEO in ensuring the company meets internal and external goals and (2) manages special projects as directed by the President/CEO. The ideal candidate will have superior project management skills and should take pride in completing all tasks and projects, regardless of size and scope. This role represents an excellent opportunity to utilize advanced project management skills, executive management and leadership skills in a fast-paced, innovative company. The incumbent will interface with the clients and staff and manage project deliverables as assigned. Experience working directly with an elected official or corporate executive desired.
Responsibilities
* Manages clients and special projects as directed by the President/CEO. * Ensures strategic collaboration with appropriate internal and external stakeholders to accomplish company goals and objectives. * Proactive identification of issues that could impact the successful execution of the company’s goals. * Prepares background information or materials as necessary; assists with research, content development and creation of presentations. * Prepares written materials; edits and proofreads written materials for content consistency as directed. * Develop and maintain highly productive and strategic external relationships and partnerships for the benefit of the organization. * Coordinates CEO’s attendance at events and appearances, ensures preparation of travel arrangements, itineraries and substantive information necessary to attend events in a timely and organized manner.
Ideal Candidate
**Desired Qualifications:** * Master’s degree in Business, Communications, Political Science, Public Administration, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field desired. * 8-12 years of professional work experience. * Experience as a Chief of Staff to an elected official, high level government or private sector executive. * Experience supervising staff. * Excellent written, verbal communication skills and strong computer skills. * Political campaign experience or experience working in the California State Legislature highly desired or as a production manager in the entertainment industry, or similar fast paced intense environment. * Must be a team player and able to lead teams in a collaborative fashion. * Ability to juggle multiple priorities, be extremely well-organized, manage time effectively and identify resources for projects. * Able to work comfortably with high-level private and public sector executives. **Minimum Requirements** * Must be discrete, high-energy, agile-minded, strategic, proactive, a direct communicator, highlyorganized and committed to the vision and values of Imprenta Communications Group. * Bachelor’s degree and 8 years professional work experience * Prior experience in a similar role in the public or private sector.
