Senior Network Engineer

Our company is seeking customer service focused individuals with a wide knowledge of computers and networks to provide systematic improvements to a well-funded internal infrastructure that utilizes VMWare, ESX Servers, & SQL Servers in primarily a Microsoft environment. On-site repair and maintenance is required to all of our 10 offices.

* Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing work-flow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols. * Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls. * Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor. * Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation. * Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support. * Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements. * Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses. * Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. * Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential. * Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. * Proven working experience as a Network Engineer / Administrator * Experience with HP Switches and Meraki Firewalls * Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching * Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure * Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired * Proven experience with configuring VLANS in an enterprise environment * Ability to set up and configure server hardware * Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies * Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking * HP, Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, or Microsoft training * BSc degree in Computer Science or related field * 8 Years work experience as Network Administrator
