Senior Network Engineer

Our company is seeking customer service focused individuals with a wide knowledge of computers and networks to provide systematic improvements to a well-funded internal infrastructure that utilizes VMWare, ESX Servers, & SQL Servers in primarily a Microsoft environment. On-site repair and maintenance is required to all of our 10 offices.

• Establishes network specifications by conferring with users; analyzing work-flow, access, information, and security requirements; designing router administration, including interface configuration and routing protocols.
• Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues including availability, utilization, throughput, good put, and latency; planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures; establishing connections and firewalls.
• Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendor.
• Secures network by developing network access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; maintaining documentation.
• Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs; providing references and support.
• Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing, testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements.
• Meets financial requirements by submitting information for budgets; monitoring expenses.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
• Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.

• Proven working experience as a Network Engineer / Administrator
• Experience with HP Switches and Meraki Firewalls
• Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching
• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution is desired
• Proven experience with configuring VLANS in an enterprise environment
• Ability to set up and configure server hardware
• Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
• Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking
• HP, Cisco, Meraki, Ruckus, or Microsoft training
• BSc degree in Computer Science or related field
• 8 Years work experience as Network Administrator
