Sales Internship

International Data Corporation (IDC) is the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications and consumer technology markets. IDC helps IT professionals, business executives, and the investment community make fact-based decisions on technology purchases and business strategy.

The IDC Sales team is seeking sales interns to work on various sales-related activities. Hands-on activities and challenging tasks are offered to our interns every week, in a comprehensive, 8 to 10 week paid summer internship program. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in a sales career to learn basic sales concepts and techniques while earning “hands on” sales experience. The position is based out of IDC's Corporate Headquarters in Framingham, MA.

• Work directly with sales team on outlined business goals
• Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls and emails
• Qualify and drive leads through the sales pipeline
• Learn how to prospect successfully and penetrate an account
• Gain exposure to business systems such as Salesforce

• College junior or senior, or college/university graduate with a desire to launch a sales career
• Leadership or work experience, ideally in a sales or client focused support role
• Strong written, analytical and verbal communication skills
• Excellent time management and organization skills
• Entrepreneurial spirit; Motivated, assertive and collaborative. Self-starter and a quick thinker
• Ability to commute to Framingham, MA location
