Large Loss Specialist

The Claims Business Unit within IAT has an immediate opening for a Large Loss Specialist in our Omaha, Nebraska location. This position is responsible for attaining optimal results on the most severe case facing the Claim operation. Claims typically have exposure of $100K+ including litigated and non-litigated bodily injury and/or property damage claims.

* Handle assigned claim files to appropriate conclusion, within designated level of authority including appropriate reserving practices, in accordance with departmental guidelines * Handle claim assignments representing complex/high exposures, usually involving litigation and/or coverage issues/bad faith allegations, associated with commercial property/casualty * Apprising business partners of status including completing Large Loss Report on qualifying cases

* Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience * Law degree preferred * Minimum 5 years general claim technical experience * Minimum 5 years litigation management experience * Bodily Injury, general liability, and/or commercial garage experience * Heavy exposure on major cases * Above average analytical skills * Above average written and oral communication skills * Above average negotiation skills * Partial completion of AIC, CPCU or other similar program is preferred * To qualify, all applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require now, or in the future, VISA sponsorship for employment purposes
