Summary
HomeAway is looking for a talented and highly motivated cloud security architect with a strong infrastructure security background. This position will assist with the global cloud security architecture and provide security vision and strategy around cloud based applications. The right candidate is expected to be well-organized, team driven and a dynamic multi-tasker, including working with multiple teams at any given time. This position requires a strong infrastructure and hosting background coupled with proven track record in utilizing cloud security technologies. The right candidate will have a great track record of planning, implementation, communication and solving tough security problems.
Responsibilities
* Develop, mature, and secure large scale web applications using Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other cloud based providers. * Responsible for providing vision & strategy, including the security design of enterprise cloud applications. * Design, develop, and implement a security release management strategy for our enterprise cloud applications. * Experience with deployment automation & security configuration management (Puppet, Chef, Jenkins a plus). * Develop hardening standards with regards to Docker & Mesos. * Experience working with developers using: Java/J2EE and open source frameworks (Hibernate, Spring, JSP, Servlet, Struts, JDBC, Angular JS, jQuery, jQuery Mobile). * Familiarity with modern cloud architecture including containerization (Docker a big plus). * Familiarity with network protocols and APIs, especially as they apply to security; understanding of modern network approaches such as RESTful interfaces. * Ability to program to solve problems & automate repetitive tasks in a common scripting or programming language such as: Python, Ruby, Perl, or PowerShell. * Participate in multiple security projects simultaneously coordinating multiple functional areas while executing defined enterprise system strategies to support corporate initiatives.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field preferred. * Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with Linux operating system, in user space. * Minimum 2 years in security engineering, crypto, policy,authentication, authorization or related technologies. * Preferred Certifications: Possesses one of the following security certification: CISSP, CISA, CISM, CIPP/IT, CEH, GIAC
