Product Manager, Wireless Access Platforms

Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise Company, is seeking to identify highly motivated and qualified individuals for various future opportunities as a Product Manager, Wireless Access Platforms.
Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you’ll be responsible for all product lifecycle aspects of a growing range of wireless access platforms. These platforms provide network access for client and IOT devices using a variety of technologies.
You will work with cross-functional teams that are charged with developing and marketing Aruba’s strong portfolio of wireless & wired network access products. You will be responsible for improving functionality and marketability of existing products, and help address new market opportunities based on your industry experience. You must be versatile with a good mix of business acumen and technical savvy, a quick learner with the ability to shoulder new responsibilities in a dynamic environment. A big-picture vision, and the energy, drive, and work ethic to make that vision a reality are highly valued.
You will work with engineering counterparts to define product requirements. You will work with marketing teams to define the go-to-market strategy, helping them understand the product positioning, key benefits, and target customer. You will also serve as the internal and external evangelist for your product offering, working with the sales channel and key customers.
- Drive product strategy and roadmap for Aruba Wireless Access platforms for WLAN and IOT access
- Work with cross-functional teams to proactively identify product and solution gaps, define market requirements and drive eco-system partnerships
- Work closely with product marketing to develop and implement a company-wide go-to-market plan
- Evangelizing/messaging/marketing the Aruba solution portfolio to the field and the customers
- The candidate must think and act as a business owner, with ability to forecast revenues, present product P & L, project ROI analysis
- This position requires travel for customer visits, Aruba field engagements and product development meetings (~20%)
- Technically experienced with WLAN and/or other wireless technologies. Technical experience with IOT products and technologies is desirable
- Technically experienced with L2/L3 switching and routing technologies
- Strong presentation skills as well as written and verbal communication skills are required
- The candidate must be well organized, self-motivated and capable of seeing projects through to completion
- Experience in working with engineering, sales, marketing, customer advocacy and operations organizations
- Minimum 5 years of experience in technical marketing or systems engineering role in the Wireless/Wired LAN industry
- Product management experience is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required. Additional business degree is desirable
