The Assistant Stores Sales Leader performs the duty of a Sales Associate, and in the absence of a Store Sales Leader is responsible for the leadership of the sales team and day-to-day operations of the store
- Facilitate and/or manage the general operations of the store ensuring that the store is in working order and adequately maintained to ensure safe and efficient operations
- Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, loss prevention policies, operating procedures and controls; conducts associate training as needed to reinforce proper controls
- Communicate priorities and information in a timely manner to align associates with company initiatives.
- Maximize Customer Service Leader to drive sales through leading sales associates to maximize the customer experience.
- Lead the sales team in sales and metric performance consistently through product knowledge and use of prescribed selling techniques.
- Maintain a visually appealing store; ensure proper housekeeping, visual merchandising, and organization are kept to the highest standard.
- Train associates on visual merchandising techniques to ensure store is maintained at all times.
- Drive foot traffic by supporting local marketing initiatives and coordinating and executing in-store promotional events.
- Ensure the store is property staffed and schedules are completed in accordance with company guidelines.
- Establish clear goals and action plans, assign clear accountability and follow up, recommend impactful solutions that drive results.
- Ensure products are properly displayed and replenished as needed
- Support the Store Sales Leader in the development of top talent.
- Act as a coach and mentor to sales team by using discretion in assessing performance, providing feedback and coaching to improve performance, and effectively recommending employment decisions to Store Sales Leader
- Engage in conversation with customers to understand customer needs delivering exceptional customer service by anticipating customer needs and considering the impact of all decisions/actions on the customer.
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years retail experience providing exceptional customer service and performing multiple tasks in a fast paced environment
