Summary
The STAGE MANAGER is responsible for the implementation, execution and maintenance of the Hard Rock Live musical brunch program.
Responsibilities
* Coordination of show creation in association with event Producer. * Assist in procurement of props, furniture and set dressings, costumes. * Assist in costume creation and fitting. * Manage and maintain props, costumes and stage sets. * Manage and supervise weekly load-in/ load-out of set, lighting and sound needs for show. * Compile and operate prompt copy- actors' moves and cues, and the requirements for props, lighting and sound. * Make alterations to the set between scene changes, prompt actors and cue technicians. * Run the backstage and onstage areas during performances. * Liaise with the Producer, vendors, stage personnel and other technical departments (e.g. costume, lighting, sound). * Schedule actors/ musicians for rehearsals and performances. * Deal with any emergencies or issues that may hinder the show. * Distributing relevant information to other departments. * Advance all details including (but not limited to): production, artist catering and hospitality, transportation, drive-on lists, artist contracts and payments and report all related show information to all departments. * Participate in pre-show meetings, client site visits and internal venue meetings. * Coordinate staffing need (technical, catering, and outside labor) with department heads. * Communicate with Live Production Manager and Director of Live Entertainment to assure that all policies, procedures and financial/ budget obligations are maintained. * Successfully meet the needs of the artists/ clients while also putting Hard Rock guest and Hard Rock Live interests in the forefront. * Review each event after completion to ensure that quality improvements are made if necessary. * Track all Live operational needs and reports directly to Production Manager on needs and/or changes to be made. * Ensure company welfare and maintain a good working knowledge of all relevant health and safety legislation and good working practice.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications** * Must be at least 19 years old * Must have a minimum of 8 years of musical theater, venue and production experience. * 3 years management/supervisor experience required. * Understanding of both the technical and artistic elements of a performance. * Possessing excellent people management skills. * Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast paced environment while maintaining control and confidence in a dynamic work environment. * Demonstrating a high level of organization, attention-to-detail and a sense-of-urgency. * Displaying a positive and outwardly friendly attitude toward guests and co-workers – never allowing personal life or outside influences to dictate attitude. * Proven communication skills (written and verbal). * Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Adobe products. **Physical Ddemands:** * Ability to move throughout the corporate office and cafes during visits (standing, walking, kneeling, bending) for extended periods of time. * Ability to sit for extended periods of time. * Ability to make repeating movements of the arms, hands, and wrists. * Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear. * Manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and ability to work with hand above shoulders. * Ability to occasionally, regularly, frequently move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 10 pounds. * Ability to turn or twist body parts in a circular motion. * Ability to tolerate exposure to heat, cold, chemicals, and loud/noisy environment. * Ability to travel via auto or airplane for long periods of time.
