Creative Technologist

Founded in 2006, GUILD is an interdisciplinary creative agency that bridge brands to the worlds of industry, media, and consumers via interactive experiences and engaging environments.

The Creative Technologist will play a key role in the design, development, and deployment of hardware systems working hand-in-hand with software developers, digital/graphic designers, and project architects. The ideal candidate will be able to bring their experience in new technologies and tools and be a creative thinker with adept analytical capabilities. We are looking for a driven technologist who has concept-to-launch experience and can solve challenges in a collaborative environment. Additionally, a creative prototyping drive and new hardware development passion is a plus.

Tasks include but not limited to:

• Work with designers, engineers, and project architects to create innovative hardware/software solutions
• Source, test, and assess hardware for interactive builds and assemble working prototypes
• Work with interactive technology with an emphasis on multi-touch computing
• Work with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or BeagleBoard units
• Work with computer vision and machine learning techniques
• Audio and video processing
• Provide technical insight to new business when required
• Gesture and sensor systems are a plus
• Prototyping and new idea development

• Experience with electrical engineering, micro-controllers, automation systems
• Experience or familiarity with a variety of creative coding languages (Cinder, OF, Processing, Arduino, TouchDesigner, C/C++)
• Self-motivated and naturally curious
• Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment, adjusting to changes in business or priorities
• College degree, preferably in computer science, engineering, or similar
• 2+ years with digital agency or comparable experience
• Experience with physical computing
• Experience with computer vision and machine learning techniques
• Concept-to-launch experience
