Summary
As the Key Account Manager (KAM), you will be an integral part of the development, implementation and execution of the Away From Home (AFH) beverage and brewer strategy by working with complex, high-growth regional or national customers. The KAM owns brewer and beverage sales with assigned customers and is responsible for delivering an annual operating plan (AOP), managing trade funds and training Keurig Authorized Distributors (KAD) and the KADs’ sales and service teams.
Responsibilities
* Develop, communicate and execute a customer product (brewer and beverage) strategy with specific tactics to maximize AOP growth targets within their assigned customer base, as measured by key performance indicators. * Conduct regularly scheduled business meetings with senior level managers/owners to coordinate and update customer plans. * Communicate with stakeholders regarding customer, sector and industry insights and consumer and competitive trends. * Optimize performance via hands-on management and training of their customers’ sales and service personnel. * Maintain effective relationships throughout the KAD organization to improve Keurig’s strategic position with KAD management or decision makers, influencers, sales/marketing teams and supply chain.
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred, and 5 years successful sales experience ideally working with a third party distribution network, or 7 years equivalent sales experience. * Prefer experience in a “Fortune 500” company, or in the Consumer Packaged Goods, Beverage or related industries. * Self-motivated and detail oriented with the ability to perform well in a fast-paced and changing environment. * Skilled at data extraction and analytics with the ability to communicate information effectively across multiple departments; proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook), CRM Management, Trade Fund Management and Online Meeting tools. * Understanding of sales functions, including strategic selling, fact based selling, and customer engagement. * Ability to travel up to 50%.
