Summary
This position is located in Bedford Park, IL and is responsible for the repair and maintenance of specialized robotic cutters used in the CIPP process. Robotic cutters are used to reinstate sewer lateral connections remotely from a CCTV truck and to trim existing intruding lateral connections during installation process.
Responsibilities
* Maintain, repair and troubleshoot problems with the robotic cutters and other small mechanical equipment as required. * · Maintain inventory controls for parts and tools required for repair and maintenance. * Create/Maintain a Preventive Maintenance database. * Train installation crews to resolve minor issues in field. * Organize multiple tasks and have the ability to retrieve information when requested. * Other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate
**Education:** * High School diploma and post/secondary education specializing in electrical or mechanical repair. **Work Experience:** * 2-5 years experience in Electrical and/or mechanical equipment repair **Knowledge, skills, and abilities:** * Must have the ability to multi-task and work within deadlines. * Experience with Schwalm Robotic Systems a plus. * Computer confidence with Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Office a plus. * Ability to assume responsibility, interface and communicate effectively with others. * Strong organizational skills. **Physical Demands:** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit and use hands to operate a computer keyboard. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
