Summary
The Digital Product Owner role will have responsibility for the development and implementation of the strategic plan for the online product family of features/functions/capabilities in support of Grainger Tech website. This role will lead the definition, development, approval, and introduction of new online product features and functionality. This role report to the Director, Product Management.
Responsibilities
* Lead and support the implementation, communication, and change efforts in the roll out and enhancement of digital products. * Develops and implements strategic plans for digital product families, to include new capabilities, enhance features, and eliminate issues. * Leads the development and writing of stories, epics, and features. * Leads the prioritization process for all new functionality, concepts, changes, and enhancements. * Responsible for user acceptance testing. * Represents business stakeholders in agile development process. * Leads sprint ceremonies in an agile environment. * Works with design and development teams to create user interface wireframes, mockups, and prototypes * Proactively manages and prioritizes a backlog according to business value, complexity, and expectations * Develops features into users stories that are granular enough for a sprint, convey the goals and vision of each sprint. * Primary interface to external partners, UX, and development. * Coordinates with key partners and stakeholders to understand their business models and goals and leads defining business requirements, content, and features * Researches and analyzes industry trends and competitive information * Collaborates with project teams to define digital product strategy * Collaborate and build productive working relationships with internal business partners.
Ideal Candidate
* 7-10 years experience product management * 5-7 years leading teams in an agile environment * BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Engineering * Experience with e-commerce businesses * Superior communication skills * Proven ability to manage complex information and translate into action * An innate passion for the digital space and an awareness of best practices, trends and opportunities. * Excellent analytical skills
