Summary
The Senior Associate Attorney will work in conjunction with GoHealth’s multiple business units, and the General Counsel to negotiate contracts with clients, strategic partners, and vendors. This individual will also partner with GoHealth leadership to evaluate regulatory matters and provide input related to risk management. In this role, the Senior Associate Attorney will be responsible for working with outside counsel on matters related to corporate acquisitions and investments.
Responsibilities
* Work effectively with GoHealth's business units to review, negotiate, and draft agreements with strategic partners, insurance carriers, and vendors * Research complex regulatory issues and provide written memoranda related to the legal issues presented by various regulations, as those regulations pertain to the services provided by the company * Communicate cross-departmentally and consult regarding issues related to risk management * Assist outside counsel in researching legal issues related to litigation matters, drafting motions, memoranda, and other legal briefs
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's Degree and Juris Doctor required (from an accredited institution) * Minimum of four years of experience working at a law firm, with a specialty related to corporate governance, securities matters, mergers and acquisitions, or related fields of law * Must be commercially aware, and able to develop business-led solutions while driving the risk management agenda * Member of at least one state bar * High attention to detail, with pride taken in producing accurate, timely, and well laid out documentation * Ability to effectively evaluate contractual and regulatory requirements, understand their impact on the business, and develop creative solutions * Excellent communication skills required in order to work effectively with internal leadership, and articulate compliance-related concepts to both technical, and non-technical staff * Ability to prioritize and multi-task
