Summary
We’re looking for a program manager to join us in our mission. As a program manager on the internal comms team, you bring event, video production, and/or project management skills to operationalize and execute on our recurring internal comms programs. You’re outstandingly organized and love making order out of chaos. Spreadsheets, schedules, and to-do lists are your tools of the trade. Your creative flair, supernatural ability to predict logistical needs, and project management skills help you succeed in this role. You thrive on working with others across business functions and timezones, and you’re comfortable in a multi-tasked, high-energy environment.
Responsibilities
* Work with the internal communications lead to develop the vision, goals, and strategy for our recurring internal programs (video shows and in-person events) * Oversee program production, helping to corral content development, AV production, vendor management, logistics, invitations, and more * Oversee program execution to ensure Hubbers, whether they’re attending in person or remotely over livestream, receive valuable information and have a great experience * Use analytical skills to conduct post-event reporting to measure our programs for effectiveness and health * Provide advisory support to help operationalize internal programs run by other teams (e.g., creating templates and runbook for weekly Engineering All Hands) * Operationalize the way the internal comms team deals with requests for help/service, providing other teams with an easy way to track their requests
Ideal Candidate
**Desired Skills and Experience:** * 3+ years of professional experience in event, project, or program management * A diplomat and mentor. You’ve got a track record of motivating successful teams with positive-minded leadership. You develop and carefully maintain productive working relationships with Hubbers and vendors. You understand the abilities and needs of the team to deliver amazing program experiences that combine our full efforts. * Grace under fire. You've got the guts and calm mindset to make decisive calls that solve problems when stuff breaks, the power goes out, or plans have to be rewritten on the spot. * Advanced degree in cat-herding. You communicate effectively with partners, leaders, vendors, and a wide range of Hubbers. You excel at managing stakeholder expectations, and you’re skilled at sharing detailed event logistics with others in any medium. * Highly organized and skilled at juggling. You’re highly organized and self-motivated, able to oversee timely and first-rate execution under pressure. You can effectively handle multiple interdependent projects while staying under deadline. * Smart with technology and the web. You always know the best tips and tricks when collaborating online or you’ve taught yourself basic HTML and CSS. * Constant self-improvement. You’re always seeking ways to grow. You’re unafraid of constructive criticism, and committed to finding ways to enhance your strengths or work out your weak points. * Positive and collaborative mindset. You naturally seek solutions. You’re great at working with others, and you’re skilled at bringing people from different functions together to do great work. * Must be legally authorized to work in the United States **Bonus if you have:** * Experience in communications * Experience working with video production teams * Experience with remote communications or working on highly distributed teams * Experience working in an engineering/developer-centric culture * Experience using GitHub
