Summary
Genesys seeks a Vice President Corporate Communications & Brand to work closely with our leadership team, customers and partners to build strong internal capabilities, external communications and market position. As consumers put more pressure on organizations they interact with than ever, Genesys is at the forefront of helping to create optimal customer engagement experiences. We seek an executive business leader with depth and breadth in corporate communications, executive and internal communications, analyst and media relations, brand identity and message development, product and customer communications, and category creation (preferably in software/cloud services) to help us tell the Genesys story and help us manage fast global growth as a leader in our category.
Responsibilities
* Own, execute and develop programs for a cross-functional team of direct and dotted line reports, encompassing PR, AR, social media, corporate marketing/brand, customer communications, internal communications and executive communications * Serves as strategic partner to the CEO and executive staff to advance Genesys’s brand and market position by implementing an executive media strategy and speaking program. * Articulate and build thought leadership, defining the issues and topics that create opportunities for engagement and creating stories that bring Genesys value prop to life through appropriate owned, earned and paid mediums. * Build an influencer network by cultivating relationships with key influencers and elevate story through rich and relevant commentary on strategically important key issues and topics * Provide counsel and media training to key executives - partnering closely to craft a communications strategy that can strengthen results with media and industry influencers. * Partner to implement a communications strategy that is aligned with key initiatives (product launches, content, customer momentum, finance, industry positions, etc.) that amplify the Genesys narrative in support of our mission, vision and strategic priorities. * Develop and implement company-wide brand strategy (as a leader at the table of the broader marketing organization) and lead development and execution of brand messaging. * Implement a “science-driven” approach to define success and then measure and monitor internal and external communications effectiveness and results * Evaluate and own key agency resources, relationships and results
Ideal Candidate
* 15+ years experience and demonstrated depth and breadth in corporate communications domain: * Deep experience owning and leading end-to-end communication from conception through implementation; * Strong and seasoned executive presence and comfort in directly supporting executive communications needs; * Network of deep media and agency relationships and demonstrated success in leveraging uniquely in the marketplace. Strong agency experience as foundation of career in communications. * Category creation, company repositioning/evolution experience a must * Skilled as a business architect and a business leader * Natural ability to harness both the art and science of communications: * A data-driven approach to measuring success, and high facility with data and analytics; * Strong track record of measurable business outcomes associated with communications work. * Agile agent of change: * Ability to work in a start-up like communications function that requires both big company thinking to scale and grow and small company change agility; * Entrepreneurial, yet mature; can roll up sleeves and thrive in a fast-moving, exciting culture but is capable of bringing systems-based thinking and maturity needed to scale. * A charismatic but authentic and down to earth leader * Current leadership of corporate communications or marketing communications including PR/AR, in a global B2B company; Prefer experience in commercial cloud services space.
