Summary
General Mills is seeking a Marketing Communication Assistant Manager to work in our Convenience and Foodservice Operating Unit on the Foodservice channel. This position works with the channel marketing team to develop and execute marketing communication and programs to support overall business strategies including digital and trade media, incentives, external partnerships, sponsorships and industry events. This role will be responsible for connections planning and marketing surround across multiple brands and channels.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for strategic communication planning and execution, including channel marketing communication through digital, trade media, price and loyalty promotions and partnerships * Serve as primary point for external media agency and PR execution * Lead our Neighborhood to Nation recipe contest * Create remarkable owned media content (website, direct to customer) * Collaborate with external suppliers, associations and GMI sales team
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor’s Degree required, masters preferred * Minimum of 3-5 years of marketing communications/promotion marketing experience, 5+ years preferred * Experience with communication strategy development and planning * Comfortable shifting and working across a variety of communication touch-points * Ability to manage relationships, influence external partners, and work collaboratively * High bias for action and execution * Understanding and passion in digital communication space and analytics * Project management expertise * Partnership/vendor management experience * Business to business marketing a plus
