Web Developer

Gearbox Software is an award-winning independent developer of interactive entertainment based in Plano, Texas.

As part of our agile team you will build, test, and deploy services used by millions of fans around the world. We use Ruby heavily throughout the infrastructure, focusing primarily on Rails but also employing Grape, Sinatra, and Java where appropriate.

• Significant experience developing highly scalable RESTful services
• Sufficient knowledge of HTML, JavaScript, and CSS to build internal tools
• Familiarity with our technology stack (Linux, MySQL, Ruby most importantly)
• Mission oriented and self driven
• Passion for delivering an outstanding customer experience
• Excellent teamwork skills, flexibility, and ability to work in an agile environment
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, related field, or equivalent training and professional experience.
• Must have Ruby on Rails experience!
• Real-world experience with Amazon Web Services
• Experience working on games or mobile app backends
• Full-stack experience including C, C++ Java
