Summary
The New Product Development Engineer will demonstrate leadership in leading & coordinating NPD initiatives for our site in Norwich, NY. In this role, you will utilize your expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for yourself and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals
Responsibilities
* Managing multiple NPD projects, leading cross-functional teams to meet and achieve project delivery & financial milestones * Leading new product implementation within manufacturing that may include internally-designed product development, as well as internal company product transfers * Interfacing with customers to define and satisfy customer expectations * Assisting Engineering and Marketing on business proposals and customer business issues * Ensuring product robustness and rate readiness * Assisting with internal research & development * Implementing cost reduction initiatives and production product improvements * Completion of site capacity planning * Analysis and field issues as needed, etc.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications/Requirements:** * Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college. * Minimum of 5 additional years of experience in Operation Management and/or Engineering with strong project management expertise. **Desired Characteristics:** * Degree within Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Aerospace, etc.) strongly preferred * Strong technical oral and written communication skills * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills * Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems * Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects * Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs * Established project management skills * Proficient in the use of MS Office and MS Project * Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification
