Summary
FreshPoint Raleigh is searching for a dynamic Sales Associate for our Sales Team. Qualified candidates are motivated, team oriented, ambitious self-starters with a proven track record in administrative support. Job functions and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, building long-term relationships to "Help our Customers Succeed", increasing market penetration, prospecting, and account acquisition. Candidates must also have the ability to work independently, communicate effectively within all levels of the organization, and possess a valid driver's license, dependable transportation, a clean MVR and the ability to meet insurance pooling requirements.
Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain 2 new accounts monthly in your assigned territory * Introduce new items to customers * Up-sell product in excess inventory * Input orders into computer system when necessary * Attend sales meetings as required * Submit all required sales reports * Identify lost/split customers and inform manager * Maintain open communications with other Marketing Associates * Perform other duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate
* High School Diploma or equivalent required with an Associate’s or Bachelor's degree strongly preferred. * One or more years’ experience working in an outside/commissioned sales position in a related industry is required. Experience as either a chef, foodservice/catering operations manager, or procurement manger is preferable. * Intermediate computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite {Word, Excel, PowerPoint}. * Geographical knowledge of the Raleigh/Triangle region. * Ability to manage the pressures and stress associated with a deadline-oriented atmosphere and customer service issues. Demonstrates skill in making independent decision in support of company policies and procedures in a timely manner.
