Sales Director

Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is one of the world’s leading vertically integrated producers, marketers and distributors of high-quality fresh and fresh-cut fruit and vegetables, as well as a leading producer and distributor of prepared fruit and vegetables, juices, beverages and snacks in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. .

This position will be responsible for managing sales and margins in assigned divisions, within the organization. In this role, will also supervise and evaluate sales team and manage business development for existing and targeted customers.

* Manage gross margins for all accounts within assigned divisions. * Identify and achieve annual unit volume projections. * Develop and implement strategies to promote customer growth in existing accounts, as well as target and develop new business. * Collaborate with the Marketing team to implement plans and services, and to develop and execute new programs. * Oversee performance of sales team, including annual performance reviews, team training, etc. * Develop and report sales trends, forecasts and margins.

* 4 year College Degree, from an accredited institution, and/or at least 4 years of related work experience. * Strong product knowledge and full understanding of the fresh produce industry, with at least 4 years of prior experience in a similar role, and some background in procurement. * Knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs (i.e. Excel, Word, and Outlook, etc.). * Excellent sales and communication skills (i.e. oral and written). * Good interpersonal skills, effective communicator across all functionalities, internally as well as externally. * Strong quantitative and presentation skills.
