We are looking for a competent and experienced General Manager to lead a team in the daily operations of military residential communities. This role offers the challenge of maximizing net operating income while maintaining Forest City's high standards of service and quality. This position also gives you considerable responsibility over the welfare of the communities you will be working with and is thus essential to maintaining Forest City's standard of exceptional service in our military housing division, and we are looking for others who share our commitment to excellence to join our team!
In this position your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team in a multi-location military portfolio by providing operational decision-making and strategic direction
- Developing, leading and managing a high-performance team
- Developing and maintaining a professional relationship with the military command
- Assisting with the revitalization, planning, design and construction of homes
- Preparing the portfolio annual operating budget
- Ensuring consistency with company policies and procedures
- Communicating with residents and families on any questions or concerns
- Undergraduate degree in Business
- Professional/State licensing in CAM or ARM preferred
- Valid driver's license
- 6-10 years experienced in property management, including budget preparation and implementation, marketing and general maintenance background
- Minimum 6-10 years supervisory experience
- Excellent customer service and communications skills
