Summary
We are currently looking for a high energy project manager for our Cloud Operations program management (PMO) team. The Operations PMO provides program and project management excellence to prioritize and execute strategic data center infrastructure projects, focused on extending Five9’s leadership in the Contact Center as a Solution market. This successful candidate will lead project teams focused on maximizing data center performance in terms of service available, innovation and (most importantly) customer satisfaction. We are looking for someone who can move Five9 “up and to the right” on the ratings of both financial and industry analysts. Job duties include, but are not limited to, enhancing project governance and management practices, managing projects to evolve data center infrastructure and introduce new product capabilities, identifying and driving ways to for the business to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work more cooperatively to enhance customer experience.
Responsibilities
* Proven success at delivering a wide range of data center evolution projects, with a solid understanding of project management and technologies used in data center operations and corporate IT. * The single source of truth for program/project status and priorities for all managed programs and projects, including scheduled or impromptu updates to executive management. * Successful managing multiple concurrent projects across multiple cross-functional teams with short delivery cycles. * Habit of identifying, and project driving issues and actions to conclusion. * Always current on program / project management best practices, recommending actions that ensure data center change management is a Five9 competitive advantage, including processes, tools, etc. * Manage adherence to PMO policies, processes and practices covering the complete program / project lifecycle from project intake to ongoing operations and support. * Proven ability to analyze current status as an input to actions required to ensure projects are on time, on budget and on quality – while maximizing business benefit. * Ability to clearly articulate options to maximize program benefit, both within current constraints and beyond. * Success at leading teams from loosely defined program objectives to a well-structured project plan. * Assist in evolution and implementation of project governance practices, including transformation / change management, influencing business owners to adopt PMO guidelines. * Demonstrated business acumen, ensuring delivered solutions fit Five9’s market, processes and business model.
Ideal Candidate
* A strong background (4+ years) and demonstrated success in leading program/project teams in development and implementation of technical solutions * A high level of proficiency with standard project management and office productivity software such as Microsoft Visio, Project, PowerPoint and Excel * Workfront experience is a plus * Ability to work at the conceptual level, or with acute attention to detail, when required. * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization. * Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred * PMP certification is highly desirable. * Scrum master certification is desirable.
