Responsibilities
n addition to Java development, key responsibilities of the role include leading planning sessions, scoping work efforts, performing code reviews, liaising with external teams, driving better process, and participating in interviews. At the end of the day, you will play a key role in designing and building a large-scale distributed integration environment.
Ideal Candidate
**Qualifications** * At least six years of relevant software development experience * At least two years experience serving as a technical team lead * A degree in computer science or a similar field, or additional relevant work experience * Exceptional programming skills in Java/Groovy and the open source ecosystem * Proficient with web services development with REST/JSON interfaces * Comfortable with agile software development methodologies: Scrum, unit testing, code reviews, etc. * Eager to constantly improve and grow existing systems and methodologies * Creative and innovative energy **Additional Preferred Experience** * Working knowledge of Oracle/SQL. * Experience with deploying web applications using Tomcat, or similar. * Experience developing Dropwizard services. * Familiarity with Maven build automation. * Familiarity creating and using Docker images. * Experience working with remote teams * Hands-on experience with Cassandra is highly desirable. * Experience working with Cloud environments and technologies (AWS preferred)
