Summary
The Data Protection and Availability Solutions Team is looking for a Product Management professional to help drive our Data Protection SW (Networker) product line. This is a great opportunity for someone who likes to create new and innovative products. You will have plenty of opportunity to unleash the entrepreneurial spirit and drive disruptive innovation. The candidate will manage the complete lifecycle of products from concept to product rollout. Interact with customers and partners to understand requirements and needs. Collaborate with other product groups (within and across business units) to create new solutions that would complement existing customer base and acquire new customers. The candidate will collaborate with marketing to create collateral, evangelize the products internally and externally. The candidate will be responsible to develop MRDs / PRDs, product roadmaps, business case justifications, competitive analysis, whitepapers, pricing, positioning, and product revenue plans.
Responsibilities
* Define clear product feature requirements for new or enhanced product offerings including business justification (market opportunity, cost, customer, and channels) and gaining senior management approval. Work with engineering and other stakeholders to prioritize requirements for a strong product offering in the market. * Identify competitive differentiation for own products. Be knowledgeable on competitive products, industry and marketing trends. Support Product pricing, positioning and promotion activities. * Work collaboratively with product marketing, support, professional services, sales and sales engineering to define and execute the go-to-market strategy for your products * Assist sales in closing opportunities through product and roadmap presentations / discussions and participate in industry events as needed * Ability to work effectively with all areas of the organization, from engineering , marketing to sales * Customer engagement and relationship development for product evangelism, and requirements gathering
Ideal Candidate
* Strong desire to take ownership of the full product life cycle * Drive to design new, innovative, and disruptive products * Strong knowledge of virtualization , data protection and storage products * Excellent written and verbal communication skills * Extensive experience with software product management, strategy development, product definition, positioning, partnership development and solutions marketing preferred * Prior experience in working with sales and customers to accelerate product adoption ,preferred * Bachelors or Masters’ Degree in CS or equivalent, MBA a strong plus
