Summary
The Business Analyst is responsible for developing product requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, storyboards, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, competitive product analysis, and task and workflow analysis. This role is integral in proactively communicating and collaborating with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements while delivering the following product specification artifacts as needed: user stories, storyboards / wireframes, test scenarios. For the Business Analyst position, we are looking for an individual with strong analytic skills, including the ability to interpret customer needs into application and operational requirements. Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills are also crucial.
Responsibilities
* Analyze and review business, technical, and functional requirements * Work in close partnership with an agile development team to create, analyze product requirements in support of meeting the epic level product roadmap commitments. * Write comprehensive User Stories that define the scope of deliverable for the development team. * Develop innovative and highly usable solutions for product requirements. * Collaborate with designers on wire-frames, interactions and user flows. * Work with development and QA staff to implement solutions and test defect corrections and enhancements for existing and proposed software solutions. * Assist in testing existing and proposed software solutions * Assist with the development of customer-focused documentation for software solutions
Ideal Candidate
* A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, sciences or related field from an accredited educational institution. * Higher education domain and/or system experience. * Developing requirements and product specifications for enterprise and/or mass-market applications. * Designing, documenting and testing APIs * Knowledge on usability and application performance considerations * Self-starter who understands how to effectively deal with ambiguity and with changing priorities * 1 to 2 years as Business Analyst, Product Manager, Product Owner or similar role. * Be a tireless advocate for the end users. * Fast learner; able to learn new software solutions, business processes, and design techniques quickly and efficiently * Experience in performing functional analysis on business systems for software solution development * Strong communication skills, oral and written; able to gain trust and respect of peers and stakeholders * Capable of juggling a number of priorities and delivering results in a high pressure, dynamic environment * Disparate information systems while facilitating comparative analysis * Writing user stories * Agile methodologies * n-tier architecture and familiarity with Web applications For the Business Analyst position, we are looking for an individual with strong analytic skills, including the ability to interpret customer needs into application and operational requirements.
