Supervisor, Health Information Management

• Directing, organizing and prioritizing the daily activities of the prepping, scanning and indexing sections of the Health Information Management department.
• Monitoring volume and workflow to ensure timely processing of records to McKesson Patient Folder.
• Supervising Imaging Technicians and Quality Control Indexing Technicians

Education:

• AA degree in health related field

Licensure/Certification:

• RHIT or RHIA (preferred)

Experience:

• 2 years previous supervisory experience in Health Information Management or related experience

Specific Skills/Knowledge/Abilities Required:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Knowledge of Health Information department workflow
• Record of excellent communication within all levels of the hospital and a history of effective medical staff interaction
• Ability to recognize, establish and handle priorities
• Ability to coach and train
• Medical terminology
• Detail-oriented
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
