Summary
The Senior Business Analyst is a member of the Product & Solutions Delivery team who participates in building new technology or enhancing existing products on Echo’s proprietary Enterprise systems and partnering software applications.
Responsibilities
* Develops deep expertise of Echo’s internal and client-facing technology product lines; designs and documents complex software functionality * Fully understands Echo’s business processes and goals across different domains and transportation modes * Leads product discovery phase with the Product Delivery Manager by facilitating the requirements gathering/refinement sessions with end-users, subject-matter experts, Echo executives * Assists Product Managers by documenting business requirements, functional design specifications, as-is and to-be business processes for our internal and/or external facing technology products * Takes on the Product Owner role to work with a software development team to lead them to building the right solution; participates in all SCRUM rituals pertaining the Agile methodology * Participates in product release cycles as the product expert, including user acceptance testing sessions, to help surface any issues prior to a release * Helps Echo’s application support teams in troubleshooting production issues and escalating issues to the appropriate Agile delivery team as needed; manages end-user expectations appropriately * Performs and leads analytical studies, research and side projects, as required.
Ideal Candidate
**Required Qualifications** * Business Analyst or equivalent work experience in the transportation/logistics/supply chain field (3+ years) * Excellent oral and written communication skills * Ability to multi-task in a fast paced, fluid work environment * Self-managed and motivated * Ability to follow through with tasks to their completion * Very organized and detail-oriented * Ability to ride a fast learning curve * Readiness to learn new technologies, MS SQL and analytical tools **Preferred Credentials** * Exposure to the full software development lifecycle experience in an Agile-SCRUM environment * Strong and proven skills in creating quality documents such as user stories/acceptance criteria, business requirements/use cases, process flows, product backlogs * Good analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate business and market problems and apply technology and domain knowledge to identify appropriate solutions * Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Visio (charts, reports, data analysis, and flowcharting) * Basic understanding of database concepts, including design, optimization, and SQL query language a plus **Education** * Undergraduate Degree required or equivalent work experience
