Summary
The Director of Business Development is responsible for seeking and exploring new opportunities with our partners and prospects. The role involves identifying targets to expand Ebates’ reach in the commerce landscape and negotiating relationships with partners. This individual will use their business acumen and industry knowledge to ensure overall success for key products and new business opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Lead and develop team of Business Development Managers to meet and exceed goals including revenue targets, acquisition of new partners and adoption of key products * Determine lead generation strategy to help maintain pipeline of new business * Work with GMs and VP of Sales to identify opportunities for strategic operational and process improvement to increase organizational efficiency * Drive increased efficiency of team by serving as liaison with interdepartmental teams including Finance, Legal and Product * Work with leadership teams to identify target industries and companies * Lead negotiations and economics structure for all strategic partnerships and land partnerships that deliver on our KPI’s and differentiate our competitive position * Bring new forms of partnerships to the business and execute on commitments with partnerships to ensure delivery on partner obligations * Measure the business impact of new partnerships and initiatives and be able to pivot strategy as needed * Bring industry thought leadership and best practices in digital platforms and partnerships * Track and understand key partner metrics to understand health of existing relationships and set benchmarks for new partnerships * Develop sales materials and presentations to effectively evangelize Ebates products and services to executive level contacts
Ideal Candidate
* Proven marketing leadership and business results in a large scale business * 7+ years in consumer marketing and/or business development specific to omni-channel business models * Bachelor’s degree required, MBA in marketing or related business field preferred * Excellent verbal and written communication skills * Excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills * Business development and strategic partnership leadership experience with proven business results * Proven team leadership and development * Passion for innovation and digital marketing and e-commerce * Strong digital and e-commerce expertise * Experience presenting and partnering with top level management to drive results * Strong collaborator and influencer; drive results through expertise but also influence within marketing * Comfort using Salesforce for tracking and reporting
