Marketing Automation Specialist

We are looking for an Marketing Automation Specialist to support the lifecycle nurturing process in order to strengthen the company’s relationship with the customer. This is one of the few premier opportunities in NYC to drive growth and engage users on a large scale.

* Develop, launch, and optimize drip email communication and campaigns to increase engagement throughout the customer lifecycle * Analyze and optimize campaigns by focusing on opens & clicks. But ultimately, you know that downstream engagement is the real success metric. * Lead execution and ongoing conversion optimization of our Community newsletter * Establish best of breed practices for user segmentation, deliverability and data enrichment / cleansing. * Enhance product positioning and messaging that differentiates DigitalOcean in the cloud infrastructure space by understanding the needs of the individual developer and market trends

* 3-5 years of work experience in an email marketing role * Deep experience with email marketing platforms and implementing nurture campaigns using tools like Marketo, Pardot, Customer.io, ExactTarget, etc. * Obsessed with analyzing user data by utilizing third party analytics platforms (e.g. Google Analytics, KISSmetrics, Mixpanel, etc.) * Can balance quantitative evidence and qualitative factors to quickly test and learn (avoiding analysis paralysis) * Skilled at visual storytelling through Keynote or Powerpoint * Familiarity with DigitalOcean’s product and competitive landscape * Experience with agile is a plus
