Summary
Dia&Co is looking for a smart, detail-oriented person to serve as a Director of Accounting on the corporate team. This person will require strong leadership skills to manage the day-to-day operations of the accounting team including the period-end close processes. This is an ideal position for an individual who has gained strong experience in a public accounting setting as well as in the private sector and now seeks to apply those skills to a fast-growing company. The ideal candidate must be comfortable in a fast-paced environment, will bring energy and passion to everything he/she does, and will not be afraid to roll up his/her sleeves to tackle challenging assignments.
Responsibilities
* Manage the monthly close process to issue timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP * Manage daily accounting operations, creating scalable processes to ensure financial information is properly captured, reconciled and documented * Create and implement accounting policies that fit our business ensuring tight controls across the organization * Lead the implementation of an ERP system * Over time, hire and lead an Accounting team
Ideal Candidate
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA required * 5+ years of demonstrated professional development and advancement in accounting focused roles * 2+ years audit experience at accounting firm * 3+ years company experience * Ability to assess and implement technology to automate and control numerous accounting processes * Experience with ERP systems * Expert Excel skills * Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls, operational risk assessment, and financial reporting * Ability to identify and communicate issues with senior management * Proven ability to manage projects and collaborate with cross functional teams * Self motivated and independent, detailed oriented, strong work ethic, and high integrity and ethical standards
