Summary
The Creative Director is responsible for the design and execution of all digital creative, including engagement drivers and editorial projects, e-commerce pages, emails, banner ads and mobile. Must be a proven creative leader for digital, capable of driving innovation in support of business strategies as well as ensuring flawless and efficient design production for high-volume properties. The position is charged with delivering fresh, engaging, and relevant digital experiences that enhance the Dia&Co. customer’s emotional connection with the brand while delivering consistent growth for the business.
Responsibilities
* Serve as the creative authority on messaging of all assets produced both internally and via agency * Lead delivery of all creative that communicates the Dia&Co. brand promise in a compelling and innovative way * Build best-in class team, with focus on design, copy, photo/video * Plan and manage seasonal budget for all creative development * Build consensus and commitment across the organization * Collaborate on ideation for video content for digital and omnichannel
Ideal Candidate
* 10+ years experience with interactive design, content creation & film * 5+ years experience in an editorial environment * Minimum 5 years managing direct reports in a leadership role within a creative team * Proactive, assertive leader comfortable working in a highly collaborative cross-functional environment * Creative and discerning eye for photo editing, cropping and composition * Strong fashion/editorial sensibility, high taste level and understanding of Dia&Co target demographic * Retail/fashion brand or agency experience desired; e-commerce experience also a plus * Solid working understanding of marketing, e-commerce, and mobile concepts and fundamentals * Proven ability to translate complex design challenges into clear customer-friendly experiences * Track record of developing/extending cross-property, cross-channel branded design and UX systems * Strong communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills * Must be able to take initiative and simultaneously manage multiple projects and priorities with a focused on deadline delivery * Must be technologically savvy, with working knowledge of HTML and proficiency in Quark, Photoshop, Dreamweaver, Flash, Director, Illustrator
