Feature Design Generalist for 2D

We're hiring an experienced Feature Design Generalist for an animated feature film! This position will involve Character/Prop Design and Colour. We're looking for portfolios demonstrating a strong understanding of human/creature form in a variety of styles.

* Work with the Art Director and other Designers to create engaging, performable characters and props according to the style of the production * Translate character description and attitude from script to visual design * Submit multiple design variations and revisions based on feedback from Directors * Create model sheets of character turnarounds and facial/anatomical expressions

* Experience designing characters and/or props on a series (feature experience preferred) * Strong drawing ability and a solid sense of design for 2D animation * Degree/Diploma from a recognized animation school desired * Ability to work digitally (Photoshop, Flash, Toon Boom, etc.) * A strong understanding of proportion, balance, perspective, dimension and dynamism * Ability to take direction and work collaboratively within a team * Ability to communicate professionally and positively * Well organized with good time management skills
