Responsibilities
* Qualify leads according to pre-defined qualification rating scale * Assess prospects’ requirements for DataSift platform & products * Effectively position DataSift offerings to address prospects’ requirements * Deliver high level demonstration of DataSift offerings, leveraging presale consulting resources when necessary * Close new business and drive upsells in customer base * Consistently exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas * Provide accurate forecasting/pipeline information to management coupled with tight management of key performance metrics * Convey a professional image and display sound knowledge of the DataSift business through telephone calls, written outreach and follow-up, and individual meetings * The position requires regular contact with client (or potential client) personnel, technical and non-technical, as well as working with DataSift pre-sales consulting and operational staff
Ideal Candidate
* Self starter * 5+ years successful track record of managing multi-stakeholder, complex sales processes for enterprise software or software-as-a-service enterprise solutions * Proven track record of building relationship at all levels of an organization * Proven track record of driving large deals ($1M+ per year) utilizing cross-functional resources within a small number of named accounts * Track record of building account penetration, engagement and management plans to exceed sales targets * Experience in managing opportunities to revenue targets by successfully managing and overcoming prospect objections, negotiating commercial terms, as well as allocating appropriate resources to an opportunity * Strong and effective written, oral and telephone skills * Time management and self-motivation skills to prospect, educate, qualify, and develop target accounts and inbound lead to create opportunities * Must possess perseverance, flexibility and be able to work both in teams as well as individually to deliver results in a fast paced, dynamic environment. * Extensive use of CRM software in general and salesforce.com specifically to record the results of prospect and client phone calls and accurately, thoroughly, and promptly update account records. * Experience of using social media to build contacts and relationships * Experience of all Microsoft Office applications * Bachelor’s Business Degree or equivalent required * Ability to think on your feet, listening, learning from customers * Ability to travel
