Senior Software Tester

* Demonstrates the experience and ability to plan systems and acceptance test strategies and approaches for independent verification and validation of target application software under test. Must possess data analysis/management skills. * Demonstrates the experience and ability to design and develop detailed test procedure specifications for automated execution of system test cycles and simulations. * Proven experience and ability to work without technical oversight and to lead and/or supervise a team of specialists. Possesses superior oral and written communications skills in order to clearly and effectively convey issues, reports, and other deliverables to SSA counterparts * It would be beneficial to possess: * Five or more years of software testing and quality assurance experience is preferred * Thorough understanding of software development and exposure to Agile SCRUM methodology * Experience writing tests in Java, JUnit in an IDE like Eclipse (or similar unit testing experience in a different language/IDE) * Experience using test automation tools like Selenium, Cucumber, QTP (Selenium is a must) * Knowledge of Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins or CruiseControl * • Experience in Test Management tools like HP Quality Center/ALM * • Experience in database, data analysis and SQL development * Experience with Web Services testing and ability to use SoapUI tool * Strong knowledge of Test Plan and software test case design techniques like boundary value, decision table, pairwise, state transition, Use case testing * Work with developers to more easily create automated GUI and integration tests

* Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience * Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, management information systems, or computer science, or related field preferred * Six or more years of software testing and quality assurance experience * Experience working with project management methodology and related planning tools * Experience leading small- to mid-sized teams of testers, coordinating work against schedules and providing guidance and direction as needed * Experience working directly with clients, providing them with guidance and status, understanding their regulatory/validation requirements, and rendering prompt responses * Experience working with query, configuration management and defect tracking tools used throughout the testing team * Experience working with software product testing and applicable regulatory statutes **Other Qualifications** * Collaborate with team members on "defect prevention" rather than just "defect detection" * Experience testing mainframe and web-based systems * Extensive experience in manual functional, regression, integration and end to end testing * Good organization, people management and time management skills * Good analytical and problem solving skills * Good personal computer and business solutions software skills * Good communication skills to interact and present findings to team members, customers, management and support personnel * Good planning skills * Ability to complete assigned responsibilities independently on time and within a fixed budget with moderate technical support
