Responsibilities
Credit Karma’s infrastructure team is responsible for all aspects of infrastructure operations and maintaining the highest levels of uptime to support millions of users. Responsibilities include designing systems for high-availability and security, planning and executing multiple projects, and supporting 24/7/365 site operations. Our ideal candidate is an architect-level systems engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys multitasking, and is able to work independently or as part of a project team. Provide research, recommendations and solutions for redundancy, availability, scalability, and performance improvement. Ability to prioritize projects and tasks based on business needs.
Ideal Candidate
* Minimum 7-10 years in high-volume production environments including public and private cloud (hybrid cloud). * Expert knowledge of LAMP stack * Significant experience deploying production infrastructures in the public cloud. Ability to bridge existing private infrastructures with secured public cloud deployments is strongly preferred. * Experience with large datacenter deployments is highly desirable. * Scaling infrastructures via orchestration, automation, clustering, and implementing infrastructure-as-code. Experience with DCOS such as Apache Mesos is strongly preferred. * Demonstrated experience designing and implementing solutions with major impact on company’s bottom line; from business requirements to blueprints and rollout into production * Strong coding skills scripts to automate production systems, including configuration management and monitoring tools (Puppet, cfengine, Salt, Nagios, Cacti, Graphite, etc) * Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocol stack, network analysis tools, load balancing technologies, routing and switching * Thorough understanding of information security principles and practical implementation of secure production environments. Experience with PKI, VPN, SSL. * Participation in 24/7 on-call rotation is required for this role * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Thought leadership beyond the immediate team boundaries. * Information Security background and supporting compliance (PCI, SOX, SSAE) is desirable
