Summary
This position will assist the broader Search team to assess risk, optimize existing content and identify new SEO opportunities/capabilities across the suite of Credit Karma products. The ideal candidate will be a data-driven self-starter who has a thirst for knowledge. This role will execute both current and new SEO tactics to drive year-over-year growth of the natural search channel as a whole. The SEO Manager should be able to make quick data driven decisions, creatively think outside the box, and multi-task multiple projects. One must also effectively balance the technical needs of search engine bots with the functional needs of our human users.
Responsibilities
* Responsible for managing the SEO programs to conversion-based targets and working closely with the Paid Search team to maximize overall search ROI * Perform regular site audits to ensure priority site sections are crawlable, are optimized for the proper keyword focus and provide users content/functionality to match searcher intent * Act as an SEO evangelist by effectively communicating opportunities and risks across all parts of the organization * Use web analytics platform and SEO tools to monitor, analyze and optimize website activity, traffic trends, SERP rankings and customer acquisition metrics, through monthly and ad-hoc reports * Provide SEO support to Product Management and Engineering teams for all ongoing web projects, including new product launches, page refreshes, site re-designs, analytics tools implementation and CMS rollouts
Ideal Candidate
* 3+ years of SEO experience * BA/BS in quantitative discipline, Masters degree is a bonus * Experience conducting data-driven SEO site audits and familiarity with tools such as Conductor Searchlight, BrightEdge etc. a plus * Technically minded with a working knowledge of HTML and solid understanding of copywriting best practices * Strong communication and interpersonal skills - able to effectively communicate and build relationships across organization including engineering and product
