Summary
Credit Karma’s PR Manager, Data & Content will manage data, writing, and content development for the Public Relations team.
Responsibilities
* Partner with the team to map research, writing and content strategies to support PR initiatives and objectives * Track the tech, banking, and personal finance industries, develop commentary and perspective in the best interest of the consumers * Write, in many capacities, such as byline development (executive thought leadership & consumer advocacy), company articles, messaging materials, traditional press materials and more * Cultivate stories driven by Credit Karma’s innovation, data and product * Lead overall asset development to support PR stories and campaigns, such as infographics and videos * Support build out and execution of new data program & assets * Manage company press room * Support PR initiatives as needed * You'll be owning and running programs. It's an opportunity to really own projects. * You'll be one of Credit Karma's key storytellers. * This is a unique opportunity to be part of a small, nimble team that thrives on creativity, ideation and teamwork. * You will have frequent interactions with senior management and many parts of the company, with visibility to the company’s strategic agenda. * You’ll be knee-deep in a good mission, helping people learn about credit. * You’ll work cross-functionally with great teams in a unique way. * And, of course, all of those awesome company perks you probably already read about.
Ideal Candidate
* 5 years experience as a journalist * In house experience is a plus * What you do best is hunt, gather and tell stories — you see connections where others don’t * You easily synthesize data and information and naturally find insightful and compelling stories * Proven ability to research and write authoritatively and accessibly about a wide variety of topics, and in varied voices * Must be willing to get your hands dirty – we’re a small team, and no job is too big or too small for any of us * You’re curious and love to evangelize
