Business Intelligence Analyst

At Credit Karma, the BI Analyst will be responsible for supporting our product team with data, dashboards & BI that provides business insights into our company’s performance and helps drive key business decisions. He / She will have the ability to work with stakeholders across the organization in articulating and documenting their BI and reporting requirements. The BI Analyst will also go on to source data from a variety of sources and transform data using tools. The ideal candidate will have very strong technical skills in data management and reporting and be comfortable dealing with large amounts of data, its extraction and manipulation to build BI, and reports that allow for in-depth analysis within the business domain. More importantly, they love working with data and have the intellectual curiosity to find better metrics to manage business and demonstrate the creativity to develop new visualizations.

* Source data from internal and external data sources through tools, programming methods * Source data, transform data and build visualization * Troubleshoot and resolve data quality issues and maintain high level of data accuracy in the data being reported * Work with large data sets (Big Data) and extract useful data sets to support product and other organizations

* Bachelors degree with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in sourcing and transforming data * Experience with data integration tools such as Informatica, Talend, Pentaho or similar * 1-3 years of experience with at least one programming language such as Python, Perl, Java * Hands on experience with Tableau or similar tools * Working knowledge of data repositories such as RDBMS, Vertica, Hadoop, No SQL databases or similar * Expert knowledge in SQL and familiarity with programming is a must * Excellent analytical, presentation and visualization skills * Great written and verbal communication skills
