Responsibilities
  • Create and execute test plans with minimal guidance.
  • Work with the software application domain teams to gain understanding on the development team progress and determine what needs to be tested.
  • Perform various forms of testing using high-level documentation and check list/test plans, based on the application being tested and provide recommendations.
  • Maintain quality assurance documentation, including functionality for current testing and any future changes, business rules, high level and check list/test plan that can be used for any type of functionality testing or as a tool for estimating testing time.
  • Possess a complete understanding of and adhere to the company quality assurance process, as determined by the IT.
  • Possess a complete understanding of the functionality, business reason and details for a software change, including files used and updated.
  • Communicate effectively and efficiently with all company associates and business contacts.
  • Assist with training users on new and upgraded systems, as needed.
  • Participate and actively engage in meetings with users, quality assurance associates and other IT Department associates.
  • Assist with designing training materials for new and upgraded systems, as needed.
  • Design and perform string, system and regression testing on applications.
  • Possess a complete understanding of training and communication resources relevant to the position.
  • Participate in ongoing training regarding technology upgrades and new systems applicable to the position.
Ideal Candidate
  • 3+ years previous systems and /or quality assurance experience, including testing data and transactional applications or equivalent
  • Bachelor's degree or comparable work experience
  • Experience testing databases, building test cases, Query, knowledge in SQL a plus
  • Excellent organization skills, ability to organize and prioritize workload
  • Good problem solving skills and analytical skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to pay attention to details
  • Good reading, written and verbal language skills (English)
  • Provide test samples (if requested)
