Summary
Counsyl is looking for a digital marketing intern to assist the marketing communications team. In addition to your responsibilities related to digital marketing within a corporate setting, you’ll learn the ins and outs of marketing communications at a high-growth company. This will be a 3 month, paid internship. Candidates must be able to work from our South San Francisco headquarters up to 10 hours per week.
Responsibilities
* Assist with marketing communication initiatives such as email marketing, search engine marketing and proper use of social channels * Assist with social channel development, including strengthening our social media presence across various platforms, as well as ensuring consistent branding across company social channels and supporting our follower and audience engagement strategies (who to retweet, like, post, etc) * Run the content approval process for each social post, ensuring timely approval from all necessary parties including legal and medical affairs * Monitor editorial calendar to ensure that posts deliver on time * Social media listening including scanning reliable news sources for articles or posts relating to our mission and recommend to amplify through our channels * Assist with crafting various social posts, or obtain content from appropriate content contacts * Work with designer to create social tiles, gifs, and interactive posts for appropriate content categories * Monitor web analytics, including click rates and assist in improving SEO/lead generation strategies * Recommend the optimal tool set to more effectively manage, monitor and measure social channels
Ideal Candidate
* Current college student * Working towards B.A. in Marketing, Communications, Genetics or other related fields * Interest in learning about digital marketing and use of social media on a corporate level * Project management skills and interest a plus * Ability to work in fast-paced, always-changing environment * Desire to learn
