About Contrast Security
Contrast Security is the world’s only application security software that quickly and accurately stops hackers from stealing data via web applications – the most successful attack vector. Contrast employs patented, deep security instrumentation to strengthen applications before they’re deployed, protect them in production and provide visibility throughout the application lifecycle. As a result, organizations can act faster against threats and immediately reduce their attack surface.
We are looking for someone that can help make our product more beautiful. We’ve built a great product, but know we can make it better with the right perspective about design and the user experience. An ideal candidate might not have a background in application security, but understands the science and practice of design. They have been able to apply these unique skills and talents in web and mobile applications regardless of the type of application. This special someone tells good stories and has been called by many a “system thinker”.
* Use data, research and your knowledge of people’s cognitive and psychological behaviors to create highly useful and usable systems. * Establish a UX identity and make Contrast Security the benchmark of design in the AppSec market. * Deliver artifacts that span all project phases from concept and design to development and delivery (ie: research, task flows, scenarios, information architectures, interaction models, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes and specifications). * Explore a variety of design directions in a rapidly, iterative fashion. * Guide an enthusiastic engineering team in both the art and science of UX (Teach an engineer to “fish”).
Ideal Candidate
* You can join us in our office in Canton overlooking the beautiful Baltimore Harbor. * You have an outstanding body of work demonstrating design or interaction solutions for the Web, mobile devices or desktop applications and want to grow that portfolio. * You can demonstrate a solid understanding of accessibility, usability, and experience in testing applications. * You are able to work closely with cross-functional teams to conceive and present amazing interactions and elegant experiences. * You’re passionate about building a great product. * You approach problems from both a user and system perspective, thinking through how the user will interact with what you're building. * You have strong communication skills. You ask questions, let others know when you need help, and tell others what you need. * You're a problem solver. You believe the best work is the result of finding the simplest solution to complex challenges. * Education: B.S or M.S (in Industrial Engineering, Cognitive Psychology, Computer Science) HCI, Usability engineering, Interaction design, user research related fields.
