Responsibilities
* Assists Payroll Manager for the purpose of production of the semi-monthly payroll; * Assists auditors in order to provide requested supporting documentation required for audit; * Assists with preparing and reconciling benefit reports (e.g. financial, 401k, dental, health insurance, travel benefits, legal/lawsuit investigations, etc.); * Collects payroll information related to work and distributes payroll and other documents (W’2’s); * Maintains payroll information, files and records for the purpose of ensuring the availability of documentation and compliance with established policies and regulatory guidelines; * Makes decisions in the absence of the Payroll Supervisor to ensure efficient operations of the Payroll department; * Participates in department meetings, in-service training, workshops, etc.\performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit; * Performs general and program specific clerical functions (e.g. scanning, copying, faxing, etc.) * Researches discrepancies of payroll data for the purpose of ensuring accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing; * Responds to written and verbal inquiries and prepares, reviews, and performs calculations for the purpose of complying with established payroll practices.

This person will ideally have 1-2 years of experience in an HR/Payroll or Finance function and be highly proficient in Excel.
