Data Visualization Engineer

Condé Nast is looking for an outstanding Data Visualization specialist to build interesting and appealing visuals that bring the data to life to tell a story or create sleek interactive visuals for data exploration.

In this role, you will work with extremely complex data sets, enabling business leaders to make intelligent decisions quickly and accurately. Our ideal candidate will have a strong command of D3.js, AngularJS, Nodes.js, HTML5, and CSS3. He/ She must be a team player but an independent thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and passionate about their work. Candidates who have a portfolio of previous work that can be showcased during the interview process will be given a higher preference.

• Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science with relevant industry experience.
• Experience working with SPA (single page applications)
• Strong understanding of UX/UI concepts and interface usability, and a demonstrated record of good design flow in interactive application
• Experience with visualization design on mobile platforms is preferable
• Strong command of web front-end development (Javascript(OOP), HTML5, and CSS3)
• Strong experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js), WebGL, and developing interactive graphics from conception to deployment
• Knowledge of data processing, data analysis, data modeling, and data mining is a plus
• Understanding of NoSQL databases and Hadoop
• Experience handling complex data visualization for Big Data sets is highly desired
• Programming ability in Java is an advantage.
